Die Arbeit von Amnesty International gründet auf dem Engagement von Freiwilligen. Werden auch Sie aktiv, informieren und engagieren Sie sich mit uns. Wir freuen uns über jede Mitarbeit. Diese Mitarbeit kann daraus bestehen Informationsstände in der Stadt zu organisieren und besetzen, Informationszettel zu verteilen und Umfragen zu erstellen. Auch führen wir Lesungen, Podiumsdiskussionen und Filmvorführungen durch. Die wesentliche Basis der Amnesty-Arbeit stellt aber immer wieder das Verfassen von Briefen und Petitionen dar. Wir sind der Zeigefinger, der sich auf diejenigen richtet, die sich nicht an die Menschenrechte halten. Hierzu werden Kampagnen organisiert, die länger laufen und durch verschiedene Aktivitäten (siehe oben) unterstützt werden. Es gibt aber auch dringende Fälle, sogenannte Urgent Actions (UAs), bei denen wir auf Unterstützung angewiesen sind, um möglichst viele Faxe, Briefe und Emails an eine Regierung zu schicken, damit die Situation in einem aktuellen Menschenrechtsfall verbessert wird.
Wir suchen jederzeit weitere engagierte Mitglieder für die aktive Arbeit im Raum Zürich.
Im Einzelnen suchen wir:
- Briefeschreiber, die an unseren Briefaktionen teilnehmen wollen. Hierfür ist es nicht notwendig aus dem Raum Zürich zu kommen. Wir versuchen in Zukunft alle nötigen Informationen auf unserer Webseite veröffentlichen. Zur Zeit erfolgt der Informationsaustausch über Email.
- Organisatoren für die Aktivarbeit im Raum Zürich. Diese würden unsere Arbeit erweitern mit eigenen Ideen für Informationsstände, Filmvorführungen und Lesungen.
